Marsha was 61, born June 24, 1956, to Dr. William E. and Catherine T. Daehler, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Heartland of Portsmouth, Ohio. In her final illness with a brain gliosarcoma, Marsha received outstanding care from the personnel of Heartland, SOMC Hospice and The James Cancer Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Benjamin Binns in 2014; and her mother, Catherine Daehler.
She is survived by her father, Dr. William E. (Anita) Daehler; sisters, Shelley (Scott) Iliff of Wheaton, Illinois, and Becky Daehler of Indianapolis, Indiana; and brothers, William E. (Brenda) Daehler Jr. of New Albany, Ohio, and James W. (Sara) Daehler of Charleston, South Carolina. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Kimberly Iliff (David) DeJesus, Sara Iliff (Trajan) McGill, Megan Iliff (Mitchell) Webster, Matthew Gering, Katherine Gering, William (Amelia Burke-Holt) Gering, Elizabeth Gering, Katherine Daehler, James W. (Rachel) Daehler Jr. and Margaret Daehler; great nephews, Kingston DeJesus, Scott McGill and James W. Daehler III; and great niece, Daehler McGill. She is survived by many beloved cousins.
Marsha graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1974, attended Ohio State University and was a big fan of the Buckeyes. She received a bachelor's degree from the University of West Florida in business administration and worked in retail management in both Columbus and Destin, Florida. While in Columbus, Marsha began her love of scuba with lessons, which led to her life in Florida. She became a PADI instructor, and spent many hours on the dive boat "Fantasea". She greatly enjoyed her time with family and friends in Destin, especially her dear friend, Anna Schmitz.
Marsha had a great devotion for animals, lastly of her dog, Dutchess. She also had a great love of family and friends-she brought laughter and joy to so many.
